Genistar , your typical MLM Scam company, or is it ?

Below the —- is the original article which stemmed so much interest I felt it difficult to delete, however since writing this first article I have dug deeper into Genistar and you know what.  They are not all that bad, not at all !

You do have to do some serious work to make some cash and it is not for everyone but go, go to the meetings, bring an open mind and learn something.  It is not a scam, however not everyone will make it…. thats just life.

Since writing this, I have interviewed Jeff Lestz CEO of Genistar, Jeff is an interesting a great guy… read the article and make you mind up.  You can find it here

———–

I received a phone call during this week from an old colleague asking me if I would be interested in a ‘genuine opportunity to make some serious cash from very little work’. Ok, yes I would be, but opportunities like list rarely exist if at all so I listened and took in what he was saying with a air of caution.

Genistar are a money management business where by you speak to people and see if you can save them money by signing them up to various products from this you will make a commission.

They are your typical Multi-Level marketing business or pyramid system where by you recruit people to work under you and they do the same, over and over again and you get a cut from everyone under you! Except its not really that simply cause your recruiting all these people and they are recuiting all these people, by the time you recruit enough people to make the millions they clam, everyone in the country has been recruited, there is no one left to sell to and the whole thing falls down.

There are hundreds of these companies around, two of which I have came across as a nieve sales man trying to make a buck in my younger days, the first one was Kirby – £1200 commission for selling a vacumn cleaner – excellent, execpt they expect you to sell you first one to your Dad and the next to your next door neighbour and so forth a so on.

The second company I came across was, Victoria Jackson cosmetics, £3 commission for selling a £6 set, but you will be a millionnaire within a year – not likely !

Genistar are just the next in a long line of america style companies trying to get some money out of you and dupe inocent people that dont know alot about how business really works.

Their website, shows no details of the products they sell, or where they have come from, going to etc. I am not saying you can’t make money at something like this, you can, but its not as easy as they make out and if you don’t hit the high targets you don’t get a bean.

In short, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Money is what it is, work hard at anything and you can do well for yourself, but don’t expect it to be easy.

No business model can ever replace hard work. On top of that the explanation sounded like a giant pain in the butt. Trying to get people to switch service providers to save a couple of bucks. Wow I think the reps would have a better chance of making money if they told the prospects “give me a 5’er and this sales pitch will stop.”

  2. david milan says:

some MLMs are scams Genistar is not, there are very genuine MLMs that exist. from the complaints ive read its quite clear that those complaining do NOT know what genistar offers or it just wasnt right for them. Just because something is not right for YOU doesnt mean its a scam or is bad.

genistar does NOT sell any products first of all. they refer products. they carry out a financial needs analyiss after which they refer people to obtain life insurance cover if they dont already have one OR can get a better deal for what they are currently paying.

they refer people to FRIENDS PROVIDENT INSURANCE. is friends provident a scam??? IS IT a “scam” to get people to insure the most important thing in their life i.e. that LIFE itself? if you have a better deal with whatever life cover you have, genistar reps are NOT supposed to make you change to them. if that happens then its the REP who’s dodgy not the company and such a person shoudl be reported to genistar to be dealt with.

rather than charge a FEE for the services provided, they request that you refer people. if you get something good, is it a SCAM to want this same thing for your friends and family? many IFA’s will charge from £100 for a similar service

genistar is the fastest growing financial services company according to the FSA.
and for those who are led to beleive that “hard work” makes you make money.. well you are wrong. its working smart that makes you money. so make an informed descision based on the company alone not what you heard, read or are fearful of because of another company.
i am an appointed rep for genistar, but i havent made money because i havent had the focus yet, but i know it’s genuine and real for those who do. so stop trawling the net seeking advice from a stranger and go out and see things for yourself.

Hi, I am familiar with alot of MLM schemes and must admit that I was sceptical about Genistar as it seemed a bit too good to be true. having said that, like most people I have debt and a mortgage so thought I would look into it ” just in case” it was as good as it seemed.

Genistar did my Financial Game Plan and reduced my time to become debt free from 26 years and 6 months to 11 years just by reallocating the money I was already paying in a different way, no consolidation, no IVA just good common sense, That plan is now down to paying off my debt including my Mortgage to 5 years. saving me £188,000 in interest! So I know first hand that what is taught works.

I decided to join the business and unlike the other Genistar person on here, I am actually making money at it and helping people (around £2000 a month working 2/3 evenings a week) and have been doing it for about a year. It is a tried and tested system, a bit like a franchise but without the huge financial layout or territory restrictions.

My advice to anyone looking for any opportunity is to get all the facts and then make up your own mind, after all, should we really base potentially life changing decisions on the opinions of people we have never met, or who clearly have never bothered to get all the facts?

The Monday evening overview meeting is an information only event, nobody will try and sign you up to anything, in fact if you wanted to sign up on the night you couldn’t you would have to arrange another meeting to make sure all your questions were answered. It is only at that point that you are in a position to decide if it is an opportunity for you right!

Regarding other comments on this site, Pyramids schemes are illegal, MLMs are a legitimate marketing model i would suggest you find out the difference…

Genistar are dedicated to doing whats right for the client 100% of the time, this is born out by the amount of business that stays on the books (96% against the industry standard of somewhere close to 65%)

I can honestly say, that when i go to see a family, the focus is to help them get on the road to debt freedom and financial independence. If I happen to make money because they CHOOSE to use one of the companies we are partnered with (all highly respected companies with tried and tested track records) then thats fine but it is not a condition of us helping them.

If we did not do a good job for families our business would not work as it relies on word of mouth advertising and referrals.. if it was a scam or didnt help clients then frankly it would have closed down already..

It is a genuine opportunity, just because it may not be the one for you, thats fine, but dont assume, get the facts and then decide. Of course it will not suit everyone. It is certainly not comparable to Kirby, Avon etc.. and we dont SELL any products, Genistars only “product” is a free financial education and a free financial game plan. If you are one of the few that dont need help with your finances then thats great but in my experience and in the current climate, most people do.

get the facts people, then decide for yourself

    :-)

    Hi all,

    Here’s how this one goes:

It starts with a phone call from a guy stating that he had been given your details by a named friend (he will tell you who it was) as you would be the sort of person who would like to be earning a 6 figure salary inside a few years time. You will not get much more information than that. When you ask what they do, you will be invited to a special briefing meeting to find out but will not be told exactly.

At this first meeting, you will spend the first hour and a bit listening to an existing team leader tell you all about the benefits to the end customer. This includes: that it doesn’t cost the customer anything, about how Genistar is all about helping people to restructure their debt in a cost effective manor and about the “possibility” for how easy it is for the customer to save over £500,000 by the time they reach retirement age (assuming they are around 30 now). They tell you how cumulative interest can work in your favour and not against you and how by over-paying your mortgage by just one extra month each year (take monthly payment, 1/2 it and pay 26 1/2 payments – one every 2 weeks), you can shave 5 years and over £50,000 of interest of a typical 25 year £150,000 mortgage. They will tell about how the power of 72 (how long it takes to double your savings based on various % rates of 3, 6 & 12) can work for you (show you a nice scaled up table of figures), etc, etc, etc… You will be asked what side of a chart you want to fall into – left hand side is employees and self-employed – the right hand side is business owners and investors. At the one I attended, they referred to the older generation of people who have to work past retirement age – normally in the likes of B&Q – they then made a reference to geriatrics.

Next, the boss comes in for the final session. In this, he gives you some examples of how much you could “potentially” earn and skims over the details of what you have to do; how genistar do not need to advertise as all their employees and indeed customers come from referrals – hence the initial call. That Genistar is regulated directly by the FSA. They claim that Genistar is the fastest growing financial services company in the UK. He will also list examples of some very big companies – McDonalds, Microsoft etc… And how you could be part of something almost as big. You are also showed a slide showing you which lenders they work with (and claiming to be whole of market) for mortgages and the private fund firm (can’t remember their name but it was just two initials – I.e. F&G Funds or something). The boss said genistar had only been going for approx 18 months, but the system had been going for 30 years and initially came out of the States.

The structure is based on reps at the bottom – then team leaders – then group leaders – and then the evp (??? vice president) at the top. The EVP will have approx 6 group leaders – each in tern will have 3 /4 team leaders – and each of these will have 3 or so reps. Each stage earns collective commission from all those under them – and they have the cheek to say this is not a pyramid scheme! We were told that there are currently 13 EVPs in the UK – no territory limitations.

According to their printed material, “you WILL NOT be an employee of genistar but building your own business with your earnings based on your own efforts”. Yet you operate under the genistar name, and everyone above you earns commission on your sales – I wonder what HMRC think of this practice! – Employee or not an employee?

To earn money, you HAVE TO recruit more reps under you (allowing you to become a team leader). Each member in the scheme only has to see 1 customer per week to make it all work, and once that customer is sorted out with a new mortgage or whatever else you can off-load, that customer MUST then provide the details of 10 others who would like to benefit – this is how your customer base grows. No cold calling as everyone you will speak to has been personally referred by someone they know. YOU simply visit the customer in their home and bring the information back to those above you. This seems to get around the FSA requirements to be registered as a financial advisor (who would normally do this sort of work).

No questions are allowed to be asked until the end, just in case they answer your question on the next slide or the question is not relevant to the others in attendance.

At the end, the very last slide informs you of what will be covered in a one-to-one meeting should you wish to come back for more information. This extra meeting is where you can discuss the commissions and structures for each level and any other questions.

They refuse to allow you to sign up with them at the first meeting. Also, to sign up costs you £140 to allow them to do background checks on you as they want to be sure you will fit in and for training.

    Hope this helps.

Should have added… I’m not saying this is a scam. It DOES help the end customers – if they need it. It also helps the guys at the top and perhaps those near the top. What’s misleading from genistar’s point is that the guys at the bottom will not make the sort of money they where lead to believe. Initially, as a new rep, you will find it easy to find new customers to help – but sooner or later your circle of friends and friends of friends will run out. As will the ability to recruit the additional reps required. The model – as a business – is not sustainable in the long term. This is why genistar is only 18 months old. They formed after another firm folded – I believe it was city solutions (one of the above links from someone else listed it).

Why do they not advertise their free services?
    Why is everyone self-employed?
What do they do differently than any other brokerage firm or IFA? – Nothing as all 3 will earn commission from the sellers and all 3 will offer this as a free service to the customers (some may charge but will generally pass on the commission.

As the two posts above mine said, do your own research but keep your eyes open.

Genistar, is just Citisolutions/Primerica reinvented under another name. Citisolutions has been around in the UK since 2002, and was also apparently the fastest growing financial services firm in the UK according to the FSA. However, they closed down their UK operations two years ago because they couldn’t really either compete with other exisiting financial services companies or no one bought into the whole system. They failed to have a robust system in place to ensure the right people were qualified and the right people were giving advice. With all due respect to dudes straight out of school, I am not very happy having my investments and financial future left in the hands of an 18-year old kid who hasn’t even popped his cherry! Besides as we have all seen with the recent recession, financial services is not simply pushing papers in front of clients and asking them to sign their money to you, when you yourself don’t understand the products you’re trying to sell.

Either way, I believe the services they provide were quite good. They do explain a lot of the complicated financial stuff before they try and sell it to you, and they charge you in terms of names rather than cash. It depends on whether you’re lucky to get a good advisor or not. I would look at the whole Genistar with an open mind…. and decide for yourself whether its a business opportunity worth getting on board with it, or if their products are what they claim they are.

    Russell,
I have found your blog interesting reading and over the years have discovered that you will never please everyone.I have been in the financial services industry for over 30 years and started out as a part timer and worked my way up as a rep to management, etc. In my early months I made very little money (much like an apprenticeship) and after a few months I started making 500-1,000 per month working 7-10 hours per week.I got a great education and in my second year I left my full time job and went full time .I was never promised a get rich quick scheme. I was promised the “opportunity” to make a substantial income.I made a six figure income in my 3rd year and never made less than 100K per year ever since. Do I still have critics? Oh, yes and I am sure until the day I die someone will have a comment about me not doing something to their liking. Bob Safford Jr. and I have been in business together for over 28 years and we started Genistar based on a proven 30+ year track record in the US. We have been in business in the UK now since November 2007.We are still a very youg company. Our mission is to help families become debt free and financially independent by using Financiaal education so they can make the right financiala decisions. Most people learn by making mistakes. We hope to give them a PHD, Proper, honest direction concerning their finances.
Is there part of our business that works similar to multi level or partly like a franchise? Yes and it has elements of sales & management also.Genistar is a hybrid of all of these and we have put together what I like to call a “Apprentice-mentoring” program. Will you get rich overnight? Certainly not. Can you make a great income after you get some training & mentoring? Absolutely.
We are a highly regulated business and we take all of our business decisions and strategies very seriously.
There is only one way to do things…the right way.

Thank you for providing a valuable service to people as they do their research on us as a company. We are an open book and have nothing to hide. We have a teaam of talented people from all walks of life and we are proud of what we have accomplished so far & I might add we have done this in the midst of the toughest economic times I have ever seen in my 30+ years in business. We believe we are providing a great service to people and we believe in doing what is right 100% of the time. We welcome you or anyone else to attend one of our free, complimentary,no pressure seminars to take a look at Genistar. It may not be of interest to people, but at least they get the facts for themselves and then can make an intelligent decision.

    Sincerely,
    Jeffrey Lestz
    Co-CEO
    Genistar Ltd.

  8. Guys,

Go! and bring an open mind – I have done a lot more research on this business since writing this first article.

You need to go with an open mind but also be mindful that over 50% of the people that enter do not end up making any money,

You can make money from this, but it is hard work – nothing is easy, and they basically offer a referral and advice to financial solutions – its packaged differently but really no different to a trained FA.

I will follow this up with a full report soon

    Regards
    Russell McQuillan

  9. Jeff Lestz says:

    Russell,
Thanks for providing the service for letting people “vent” their feelings. I find it sad that people who have no money and little success want to throw rocks at Genistar. As you are aware from attending our business overview we make no grand promises of getting rich. As for the fella who has marital problems I think that started way before Genistar.I do agree that people can get consumed with success and we do teach balance in your life but everyone has to control their own lives & schedules. Our people are told that the first few months there is little pay (if any) and it takes time to build a business. If you want big success (six figure income) yes, you have to work very hard for a few years.
As for the CDs and books we recommend to people they are classics by Napoleon Hill like Think & grow rich or The power of positive thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. What would they like us to recommend? How to be negative and have a horrible attitude? or do not think and be broke?
I find some of their accusations that I am a scientologist a bit bizaare . If people read my story I became a Christian at age 14. (I am not a scientologist but what if I was ?) If they want to criticize me for that well then so be it. Our company is built on a Judeo-Christian concept of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Are we perfect? No, and people of all faiths and beliefs are welcome as long as they are honest and treat people fairly.
Some of these people that write about Genistar do not have a clue what they are talking about and as I read their opinions I wonder how much success they have achieved in their lives. Probably not much ,so it is easier to criticize and tear down others.
As for Darren’s e mail the proper verse is the “Love of money is the root of all evil” It is not money that is the root of all evil. I have found in my 30+ years in the financial Services business you do not have to have money to love it.
As for Mr. Pursey’s e mail, he was asked to leave our firm. You have to do something pretty bad to be asked to leave when you are on commission. When we were made aware of his actions we turned over his details to the authorities and have let them deal with him. This is between him and the police. It was our job to report his unethical actions.
We do not tolerate activities that are wrong with clients or associates.
I am sure we will continue to generate more opinions about Genistar as we grow larger throughout the UK.Those of you who are reading this to do your own research I pray that you have the wisdom to come and see it for yourselves and do not take the opinions of others.Take control of your own life financially and get all the facts.
    Respect

  10. Tony says:

I thought I would put in here my thoughts about Genistar. I run a debt elimination company. Through various panels of solicitors, we write of secured & unsecured debts for the consumer using contract law.

I was invited by a member of Genistar to attend a seminar in London. I have also spent a good part of 6 yrs or so in the financial services field and found it to be very hard work. At no time did Genistar promise very high earnings for little work. It was most certainly clear to me that, if you wanted high earnings, you had to work hard for it, nothing comes on a plate. And if the 2 co-founders are earning millions from Genistar, so what? they have built a very successful company through the hard work thay have both put in. Why would anyone condemn sucessful businessmen?

They are an open and transparent company who perform an excellent legitimate service to the consumer to help them get out of debt. What is so wrong with that?

I would suggest that anyone should go along to the meeting to see how they can earn a part time income and enjoy the fact they are helping other people.
Negative comment from negative people never helped anyone. I met Jeff at the meeting and found him to be a open, honest and trustworthy guy. There was never any pressure for anyone to join, it was simply an educational seminar to see if it was the right thing for you.

Do not be put off by these comments or any other comments you read about Genistar. Go to the meetings and see if it is for you, after all, no-one but you will know!!.

  11. Simon Wilcox says:

Well after reading all the comments above I have decided to share my experience of GENISTAR. My sister joined the company about 16 months ago and asked if I could help with her training. I asked her what it was and she said financial education and she said don’t worry you cannot buy anything you will just help me become qualified.

I was very sceptical at first and concerned that my 22 year old sister had got involved in some pills, potions or lotions business or even worse the dreaded PYRAMID type scam.

Being a concerned big brother and rather experienced business owner I thought that it was my duty to see if what she was involved with was positive and needed. I was educated about some fundamental financial concepts which I already knew about but then suddenly I was shown the traps of finance, debt and credit.

This made me very mad as I soon realised I have fallen into a couple of these pitfalls. At the end I was offered a free financial game plan and I decided to see if they really could help me. They returned a few days later and the results were amazing. I could save £15000 just by rearranging my monthly bills and save money every month also allowing to accelerate my debts even more or start investing for my future.

I wanted all my friends and family to have the same opportunity I did, to have the choice of education that should be taught to us all in schools yet isn’t for whatever reason. If this could happen to me I thought this could happen to many others and it is.

I then decided to visit the BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY MEETING where I found a fantastic welcome and a positive environment. I joint the company the next day on a part-time basis and have ascended the ranks to GROUP LEADER and have now become fulltime and ready to become an Executive Vice President.

I have taught business, motivation and entrepreneurial courses all around the UK and internationally. And have owned many business along the way but never anything that rewards you as much asthis does for helping people to have or become all the want and help others to do the same. I believe WITHOUT A DOUBT I am in the best business opportunity in the country right now. If there was anything better I like to think I would know about it as I’m always looking for the best and to do my best.

The reason why people do not make money or achieve success in our business is simple. They don’t do what they’re taught and mentored to do, don’t turn up or don’t go and help people. Ask yourself a question! If you owned a business would you pay someone who was like that?

Its funny because when I have done what I was mentored to do I’ve earned ££££’s and when I didn’t I earned £0. You are encouraged to keep your job, learn the system, help people once qualified and train a team if you want to become a TEAM LEADER. If you don’t want to become a leader you don’t have to but GENISTAR pays leaders at least double, Why? because they’ve earned it for 1 and also it’s a business that by government laws must be cash flow positive to trade.

I wish we could get to the whole UK with this knowledge and help the families to get educated before its to late for them financially. Unfortunately that probably wont happen in our working lifetime as the population is growing faster than we can catch up or reach everyone. We need a huge team to help us in this mission.

If you’re a person, that likes helping people, has an open mind and a DESIRE to make a difference then this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Its FREE to find out if it is, at one of our meetings or get your own FINANCIAL GAME PLAN done 1st as I did. If its not for you at least you got educated and can continue the search for your thing. If you are ever in our LONDON meetings please feel free to speak to me about my experience. I wish you all the best in your journey to happiness and fulfilment, Simon.

I suggest anyone who calls Genistar a MLM or pyramid company find out the meaning of MLM and as for pyramid selling, well that’s illegal.

We don’t get paid for recruiting (as does MLM) WE don’t have to buy any products at anytime, MLM ask you to buy monthly volumes etc.

When I received my financial game plan, it showed me exactly how much debt, I really had plus an over view of how to drastically reduce the amount of interest payments without having to secure any extra money.

I have been in the property business for 4-5 years and had my plans all in place, after attending 3 meetings; just to be very sure of what I was getting in to, I have changed my outlook considerably and would challenge anyone to go to a presentation and call them MLM or pyramid.

I hope something I have written will be of benifit. And if you want to see the origins of this programme I suggest you read the book called COACH “The A.L.Williams Story.

I am really looking forward to the New Year, as I have made a conscious decision to join Genistar and make a difference to the lives of others.

I was introduced to Genistar by a friend, who I respect and trust. I attended a meeting in London without any pressure from my friend, I enjoyed what I heard and had the common sense to make my own choice.

The company also held a Q & A session, where everyone is welcome and I found Jeff Lestz to be a very down to earth, honest and open minded person.

We live in a world where you only get out what you put in, and like any other profession, if you put in the time and effort, then you ultimately get rewarded for your hard work.

  16. Any site owner who wants to get more traffic to their business and grow their sales should start an article marketing strategy into their efforts. It has been proven to work over and over again by thousands of business owners all over the world. However, if not done correctly, you are not going to get the results you want. Therefore, it is very important to learn what not to do, as well. The easiest way to leverage your article marketing efforts consists in usingan article spinning and submitter software so you’re able to submit more articles rapidly. If you submit to more article directories, you will gain more traffic, and also this will help you to get high quality links quickly.

I don ‘t know whether Genistar is MLM Scam or not but I think that MLM Scam always motivates distributors to sponsor people and not sell any products but The Real MLM are more interested in selling retail products and they will teach you how to accomplish that. Once you develop your retail base, start sponsoring distributors and teach them to do the same. Personally I think the real MlM is M L L T (Multi Level Learing and Teaching).

Waw Genistar Genistar Genistar Why got you go find your own system instead of stealing from Primerica! Primerica has now gone public and I hope they do something about it. You should create your own model instead! I was rather sad to learn this! Am sure if Primerica prevously know Citisolution were ever coming back to England you do know what will happen to you! But the way you can now buy Primerica share ticket symbol PRI No discounts for you Genistor Co-CEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Were now Listed in NYC Stock Exchange !!!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe in 30yrs Genistor maybe too once you come out with your own original business model offcourse!!!!!

  19. Musicman194 says:

Pand… most good ideas came out of the failiures or attempts of others.. do you seriuosly think that if one business doesnt succeed at something then nobody else should try and rectify the errors in a system or business model and improve it? How can you be sad to learn that a company has stepped in to continue to help families in the UK when Citi left even congratulated by Art Williams himself? Surely its about helping families not who is the biggest.

Not sure what issues you have with Genistar but even some of the top guys in Primerica in the US have congratulated Genistar in what it has already achieved in the UK.

I wish you the best for the future. If you dont like people talking about Genistar, then may I suggest you go onto the plenty of forums in the US that discuss primerica seeing as you are such a fan. :-)

  20. Jeff Lestz says:

    Pand,
Thank you for your comments but are you aware that Bob Safford Jr. and I spent 28+ years with Primerica and still love them?

Obviously you have no knowledge of the history of Genistar and that we were encouraged by them to provide a company in the UK to the associates who were left behind. When PFS pulled out of the UK the leaders in PFS were heartbroken and we provided the solution to them pulling out.
It was never adversarial and never will be.

Why build a system on the Primerica model? Because it helped us become Millionaires and because it works!

We still have 1,000’s of friends in Primerica and we stayed in the UK to build a company that provides financial education and services.
Primerica’s choice to no longer be in Europe was an internal choice they made so they could concentrate their efforts on North America.
Bob and I are the ones who had the “guts” to start a company along with a handful of loyal, brave Vice Presidents from the UK & we plan to continue providing a great service here in the United Kingdom.

PFS is a great company and we have the utmost respect for them. We aspire to be as good as them here in Europe. I wish you the best in Primerica and may you make as much money as I did in my years with them as a top NSD.

if you speak to the team, they tell you nothing either,
if you go to their “taster” evening, you leave with more questions than answers,
next step – a 1 on 1 with the team leader, wish me luck

well in my case it went the other way around as one of your people here in Liverpool which happens to be a senior team leader by the name “grace” just took my money £140 from my bank without even asking me if its alright to deduct it from my bank, much to to my own surprised I was £140 pennyless. I ask her i want to get my money back but she told me it was the government who deduct the money for me to have a license to be a life insurance agent, which is really a lip biting experience for an ordinary person like me who is valuing £140 as a hard earn money.

Now I was forced to take the exam to which i dont really understand what it’s all about, this is just because the senior team leader here in liverpool by the name “Grace” told me that it will give me the license to be an insurance agent however before that, she also told me that, first I need to take a “Life Insurance” from the “friends Provident” so when i became an insurance agent a potential client will believe with what im going to say about the company. In my eagerness to earn back the money i’ve lost (£140) I was thinking if I continue what she was saying to be a rewarding job, I need to know how does the company “Genistar” operates and I need to know how to discuss the “Flip Chart” to the potential victim, i mean client.

Much to my own surprise, I was told just to read the flip chart and when I ask ( isn’t that flip chart suppose to be discuss to the clients just so the clients could realise how the company “Genistar” could help them? ) they reply back that it’s not really that important as some clients just want to finish the long hours of discussions or hard sell and just get straight to the point.

So now I am into selling a life insurance “Friends Provident” without knowing how it works just because everytime i ask “Grace” she just replied; (get 2 clients and recruits and that would be your training), if she didn’t took my money i wouldn’t even be here and just because she told me that it was the government who took my money for me to become a life insurance agent I was force to continue this, but then again NO, £140 is just what she’ll get from me and that’s it nothing more.

“Our mission is to help families become debt free and financially independent” as you’ve said doesn’t really works for all as I am now £140 pennyless.

Genistar was recommended to me by a work friend….the guy visited me and put together a repayment plan for me based on my earnings and my debts….he didn’t sell me anything but he did look at any insurances, loans etc. and based on what I had he felt he didn’t know anywhere who could offer better….the only thing he asked from me was to refer him to 10 friends who I thought would benefit from financial education…the other side to Genistar was to ask if I wanted to join the company and offer financial education to other people…and earn some extra money…this was not a requirement and no money exchanged hands!!!

    Hi,

Wouldn’t it make more sense to get all the facts before you criticize , p.s that 18 year old kid, who hasn’t popped his cherry, as you so put it, frankly doesn’t need too, his role is to fill out a form, the computer does all the clever stuff, he then refers the clients to the experts who have over 30 years of experience within the financial industry to deal with the rest. May i suggest you take up a hobbie or maybe even get a girl friend to possibly pop your own cherry, as you sound rather naive and inexperienced

Hi All, I have spent the last couple of weeks looking into genistar, I have researched as much as I can, I Like to think of my self as a people person and I love to help others and put others first, which I get a lot of JOY from. (jesus first, Others second and you/me last) I have spent time praying to God about genistare to see if this is right for me.

I am a previous business owner which I closed down due to depression years ago and now im wanting to help others. The rep did show me a couple of things I could change to help me get shut of my mortgage quicker and thats by paying it weekly which would save on interest bringing my repayment years lower. By going throw the presentation and Game plan they have open my eyes to a couple of things I have over looked in live.

I have joined genistare because they can help me help others, Im not in it to make money. But that would be nice if it happens. I want to share there Ideas with other to help my family and friends to not only get out of debt quicker but also think about there retirement. especially as a state pension wont be around when im 70. plus if there was a state pension around when I retire it will be most likely when im 80+ as the government keep increasing the retirement age. I don’t want to be working when I get to 80. so I have now started a plan to make me money for when I get to 65 and then I can retire if not before.

there is also a team structure within genistare as there is with any company. and yes the people above you will earn money of the work you put in, which is the same as any other company. I had a printing company and employed sales staff, they sold products and I gave them a cut of the money call a wage. I gave them education and knowledge to make them better people and better at there job. for this they worked for me and made me money. this is the same for all companies.

I hope one day that I have a team below me, not because It would make me more money but because I can help them to help other people get out of debt quicker and think/save for their retirement and family.

Like I have said i have only just joined genistare so im no expert in what they do. but the people above me will teach me and give me their knowledge on how to help people out of dept. for that I am more than willing to share any commission of payments with them. because with out them I wouldnt be able to help others in the same way. plus I would feel like I have earned my money rather then keep asking my boss for a pay rise every time I wanted extra.

I do have some pros and cons….

    Pros…
    1. Working for your self.
    2. Work as much as you want and when you want. harder you work more you make. knowledge and education being passed down, most bosses wont do this as they think your after there job so they will try and keep you where you are, genistare isn’t like that.
    3. Freedom to look after my family as I don’t have a start and finish time each day.
    4. Enjoy helping others.
    5. Make some money in the process.
    6. Make new friend.
    7. Show people how to save money which they will love you for. I love being Loved.
    8. A business plan which is already set up, tested and works.

    Cons…
    1. its hard work but so is being a builder.
    2. No set wage like ASDA but you can earn more than being at Asda
    3. idiots telling you your in a Pyramid or MLM.
    4. idiots telling you it wont work. part of the UK doesn’t work but Im giving it a go, rather than site on my ar5 wasting time.

If I remember in a years time I will come on here and let you know my progress.

    Thanks for reading
    Mark Sherman
